Hairdressing Lecturer
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary on going cover.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week Tuesday - Thursday 8:30 to 5:00.
Rate: Β£25-Β£28 per hour including SHP.
Job Purpose: The successful candidate will support and assess students undertaking Level 1-3 Hairdressing, ensuring learners make excellent progress and achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality support, conducting workplace assessments, reviewing learner progress, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with awarding body and apprenticeship requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assess and support students across hairdressing programmes up to Level 3.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and workplace assessments.
- Provide high-quality coaching, guidance and support to apprentices and employers.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with funding and quality requirements.
- Monitor learner progress, achievement and completion rates.
- Ensure assessment practices meet awarding body and apprenticeship standards.
- Work collaboratively with employers, curriculum teams and quality staff to deliver an outstanding learner experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching hairdressing, both practical and theory.
- Relevant vocational qualification in hairdressing up to Level 3.
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undertake the necessary compliance checks.
