Long-Term Sickness Cover
Protocol are working with an FE College in Doncaster to recruit a Careers Advisor on a full-time temporary basis to provide long-term sickness cover.
This is an excellent opportunity to support learners in making informed decisions about their education, training and career pathways. The successful candidate will provide high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance to students across the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver impartial careers information, advice and guidance to learners.
- Conduct one-to-one careers interviews and guidance sessions.
- Support students with progression opportunities, further study and employment pathways.
- Deliver presentations, group sessions and careers-related activities.
- Participate in college events, taster days, recruitment activities and enrolment events.
- Build and maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Liaise with schools, community groups and external organisations to promote opportunities available to learners.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 4 Careers Guidance qualification (or equivalent) or is working towards a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance.
- Has experience working in a careers guidance, employability or student support role.
- Confident delivering both one-to-one guidance and group presentations.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of learners and stakeholders.
- Has strong administrative and IT skills.
- Knowledge of further education and progression routes would be advantageous.
