About the Role
As we prepare for the 2026/27 academic year, Vision Talent Solutions is looking to connect with talented and passionate Business Studies Lecturers and Teachers for upcoming opportunities at a Further Education College in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Business Studies lessons across a range of FE programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on learners and contribute to their academic success within a supportive FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across FE programmes.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with awarding body specifications.
- Support learners in developing their understanding of key business concepts, including marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and management.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and learner progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Support learners in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Essential Requirements
- A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS, or equivalent).
- Relevant qualifications in Business Studies, Business Management, Economics, or a related subject area.
- Experience delivering Business Studies within an FE or secondary education setting.
- Strong knowledge of current business practices and industry trends.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience teaching BTEC, NCFE, or A-Level Business programmes.
- Experience working within a Further Education College environment.
- A strong understanding of current educational practices and assessment methods.
