About the Role
Bolton Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Theatre Support Worker Trainer/Assessor to support apprentices undertaking the Theatre Support Worker pathway within the Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship Programme. Using your theatre experience, you will support apprentices in developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work safely and effectively within perioperative and theatre environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess the Theatre Support Worker Apprenticeship Standard
- Conduct learner reviews and workplace assessments
- Support apprentices to achieve qualification and apprenticeship milestones
- Carry out workplace observations and competency assessments
- Liaise with employers and workplace mentors
- Maintain learner records and compliance documentation
- Provide coaching, guidance and pastoral support
Essential Requirements
- Occupational Experience
- Recent practical experience working within:
- Operating Theatres
- Perioperative Care
- Surgical Services
- Theatre Support Worker roles
- Theatre Healthcare Assistant roles
- Qualifications
- Relevant Health qualification at Level 3 or above
- Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33) or equivalent assessment experience
- English and Maths Level 2 or equivalent
