Position Overview
Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hairdressing Lecturer to deliver high quality teaching across Hairdressing Levels 1-3. Working with predominantly 16-18-year-old learners, you will support their development across practical salon skills, theory units, and professional standards needed for progression within the hair industry.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, industry aligned sessions that build learner confidence, technical ability, and understanding of current trends and techniques within hairdressing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high quality lessons across Hairdressing at Levels 1-3
- Demonstrate a wide range of cutting, styling, and colouring techniques to industry standards
- Support learners in developing practical competencies, portfolio evidence, and assessment readiness
- Provide constructive feedback and track learner progress
- Create a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification
- Level 3 Hairdressing Qualification
- Assessor and IQA Qualifications (desirable)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage 16-18-year-old learners
- Experience in delivering both practical and theory content in an FE or training environment is advantageous
