This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English educator to support learners from Entry Level through to GCSE, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that help students achieve their academic goals. The role offers the chance to make a real impact on learner progression while working within a supportive and dynamic FE environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English teaching to learners from Entry Level to GCSE.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students with exam preparation, revision techniques, and academic development.
- Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and set achievable targets.
- Promote inclusive teaching practices to ensure all learners can succeed.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the wider curriculum team.
Qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- A specialist English qualification at Level 4/5 or above (or a related discipline).
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Mathematics.
- Previous experience teaching GCSE English within a Further Education or secondary setting.
- Strong knowledge of GCSE English specifications and effective teaching strategies.
- A commitment to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
