Welfare Officer – Barnet
You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive school environment. This is a long-term position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for addressing the welfare needs of our students.
Requirements
- Current Enhanced DBS
- Current First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid Qualification
- Excellent ICT
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students facing personal or academic challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.
- Monitor student attendance and proactively address any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with parents and guardians to improve overall attendance rates.
- Respond to behavioural concerns and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with the school\’s behaviour management team to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Address and manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring the well-being and safety of students.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and support services when necessary.
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and external agencies to identify and address students\’ welfare needs.
- Attend and contribute to welfare-related meetings and discussions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student welfare interventions.
- Generate reports as required by school administration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
