We’re working closely with a welcoming secondary school in South Bristol that sits right at the heart of its community. They need a full-time Unqualified Teacher to stand in for a variety of subjects, guiding children through the work the absent teacher has set. This is a school that values kindness, consistency and high expectations. You don’t need teaching qualifications or school experience. If you’re confident, professional and good with people, we’ll train you for free and support you every step of the way. Upon application, we will assess your transferable skills and character, looking for a kind, encouraging, authoritative, outgoing, positive team-player and leader.

The Role

As an Unqualified Cover Supervisor, you’ll step in to lead pre-planned lessons when teachers are absent. Your focus is keeping students on track, creating a calm learning environment and being a steady presence in the room. You won’t be planning lessons, just guiding learning and managing behaviour with confidence. Many people start with day-to-day cover here and quickly move into longer-term placements.

You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in customer service, youth work, coaching, care, drama, mentoring, sport or any role where communication and calm matter. No school experience needed, just the right attitude and the right to work in the UK.
