Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism/ASD? Do you have experience working with special educational needs, a background in social care, or personal experience supporting individuals with SEND? We are currently recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant in Newham within a specialist setting. This role will involve specifically supporting children and young people with Autism/ASD both inside and outside of the classroom environment.
Your key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Supporting students through daily routines and transitions
- Using clear and consistent communication strategies
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional regulation
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
