We are working with a specialist school in Peterlee that provides tailored education and care for children with a range of learning differences and complex needs. They are looking for caring, reliable, and motivated individuals to join their team as Trainee Teaching Assistants. You don’t need classroom experience, just patience, positivity, and a genuine desire to help young people learn and grow. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils aged 5 - 16 with their learning, communication, and daily routines
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Helping children develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Using positive behaviour strategies to create a calm and safe learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs
