Protocol Education are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to join a nurturing and inclusive SEND school in Telford.

The school is now seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor to join their team and support high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

Qualifications: Experience working within education, SEND, care, youth work, or related settings is desirable but not essential.

Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities: Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported.

Deliver pre-set learning activities while adapting support to meet individual SEND needs.

Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence, participation, and independence.

Promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment through positive behaviour support strategies.

Act as a consistent and encouraging role model for students across the school.

Ideal

Candidate: Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.

Confident managing behaviour in a calm, patient, and positive manner.

Able to motivate and engage pupils with a range of additional learning and communication needs.

Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.

Previous experience working with children or young people in education, SEND, care, or support settings is beneficial but not essential.
