We’re looking for a caring, adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Blyth, supporting children right across the school, from curious little learners in EYFS to confident Year 6 pupils. No two days will be the same. One morning you might be helping children master phonics, the next you’ll be supporting maths, encouraging reading, or providing extra help to pupils who need a little boost. If you enjoy variety and love seeing children grow in confidence, you’ll feel right at home here.

Location: Blyth, Northumberland

Job Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Start Date: September 2026

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Working with individuals and small groups to help children reach their full potential
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required

  • Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Brings energy, patience and a positive attitude every day
  • Can work well as part of a team and use their own initiative
  • Has excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
