Protocol Education are working with welcoming and inclusive settings in the Swindon area that’s looking for a caring, skilled teacher to support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive.

The role

  • You’ll be teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, delivering personalised, engaging lessons that meet learners where they are.
  • You’ll create a calm, structured environment where pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn, while celebrating progress in all its forms.

Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Contract: Full-time or part-time considered

Start date: September start or earlier by agreement

Salary: Main Pay Scale plus SEN allowance, depending on experience

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN
  • Supporting academic progress alongside emotional and social development
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Using effective behaviour strategies to support individual needs
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and reports
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, SEN professionals and families

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, or a strong interest in SEN education
  • A patient, flexible and compassionate approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence adapting teaching to suit a range of needs and abilities
