We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in a nurturing school environment. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with SEMH and ASD needs
- Helping to create a calm, structured, and safe learning environment
- Using creative and adaptive approaches to keep learners engaged
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency most
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
