What you'll be doing

  • Lead planned lessons when the class teacher is away
  • Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, creative learning
  • Help children with a range of learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • Monitor progress and share feedback with teaching staff
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every pupil feels supported
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and help maintain a safe learning environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has HLTA status or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • Feels confident leading whole-class learning when needed
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Is organised, adaptable and happy to muck in wherever needed
  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
  • Wants to help children grow in confidence and achieve their best
