Love sport and want to use it to inspire young people? This SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school is looking for a Sports Graduate Learning Support Assistant who can bring energy, patience, and resilience into the classroom.

You’ll be supporting students who thrive with structure, encouragement, and positive role models. Sport will often be your way in—helping pupils build confidence, teamwork, and focus both in PE lessons and beyond.

Your role will include:

Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in class, small groups, and through sporting activities
Building positive relationships and acting as a mentor figure
Helping create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support behaviour and wellbeing

What we’re looking for:

A recent Sports Science or related graduate (ideal, but not essential)
Experience working with children or young people (coaching, mentoring, youth work, camps all count!)
Patience, empathy, and a good sense of humour
Resilience and adaptability—you’ll need to think on your feet

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
