We’re working with a welcoming and well-run school in South Shields that’s looking for a confident, compassionate TA to support pupils across the school day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, offering reassurance, and helping pupils feel ready to learn. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values consistency, kindness, and calm support, especially for pupils who need a little extra encouragement to stay engaged.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils in lessons to help them stay focused and confident
- Providing 1:1 and small group support where needed
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Helping create a calm, inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- Experience supporting children or young people in school settings
- A patient, nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed
