Pay: £90–£110 per day

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate Emotional Regulation Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Many pupils in this setting experience difficulty managing emotions, anxiety or behaviour. Your role will be to provide consistent, calm and supportive guidance to help pupils feel safe and able to engage with learning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation throughout the school day
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to build coping strategies
  • Supporting learning engagement within the classroom
  • Helping pupils manage anxiety, frustration and emotional outbursts
  • Supporting transitions and unstructured times
  • Working closely with teaching, SEN and pastoral staff

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Holds a Psychology degree or related qualification
  • Has an interest in child mental health or therapy
  • Is patient, reflective and resilient

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
