You do not need to be a qualified teacher; if you have done youth work, mentoring, or been in a role involving leadership or guidance, then you have the transferable skills needed for the role. We offer roles in convenient locations near you that are flexible to your availability, whether you want to work 2 days or 5. You’ll get the freedom to choose your days, the chance to build positive relationships with different schools, and competitive pay every week. What you’ll be doing:
- Stepping into lessons across a range of subjects (no lesson planning required)
- Delivering pre-set work and keeping students engaged
- Managing behaviour in a calm, confident way, communicating with warmth and consistency
- Building quick rapport with students, keeping relationships encouraging, professional and productive
Experience that works well in this role:
- Sports coaching or youth work – if you can manage a football team, you can manage a class
- Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor experience – already familiar with the school atmosphere? Even better
- Delivering presentations to large groups, particularly of children/teens
- Drama, tutoring, Scouts/Guides leadership – anything that involves leading, guiding, and keeping young minds focused
