We are looking for caring, confident, and dedicated individuals with BSL (British Sign Language) or Makaton training to join a fantastic SEND school in Bath. This isn’t just another support role. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with communication needs in the classroom
- Using BSL or Makaton to help students engage with learning and express themselves
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a positive learning environment
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has BSL and/or Makaton training or experience
- Is naturally caring, patient, and empathetic
- Feels passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
- Is confident communicating with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Can stay calm, positive, and adaptable throughout the school day
