Make a lasting impact in a specialist school. We are seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join a school for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is a highly rewarding role, supporting pupils who have complex learning, physical, sensory, and medical needs.
About the role:
- Pupils with PMLD require specialist support tailored to their individual needs. Many rely on assistive communication methods, sensory learning approaches, and personalised care routines.
- As a Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support in both classroom and personal care settings.
- Assist with physical and sensory activities designed to engage and stimulate pupils.
- Support pupils in developing communication, independence, and social interaction skills.
