SEND Learning Support We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Yate who are looking for a Flexible Learning Partner to provide dedicated 1:1 support. The school supports a high number of pupils with complex SEND needs and is looking for someone experienced, calm, and confident supporting children who may need extra help with emotional regulation, communication, engagement in learning, and day-to-day routines. This is a rewarding role where relationship-building, consistency, and patience are at the heart of everything you do. What you’ll be doing: Providing dedicated 1:1 support within a Year 6 classroom Supporting a pupil with complex SEND needs throughout the school day Helping with emotional regulation, classroom engagement, and learning activities Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive routines Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team to provide consistent support We’re looking for someone who: Has previous SEND experience within a school or similar setting Feels confident supporting pupils with complex additional needs Is calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff Is reliable, proactive, and ready to start ASAP Due to the location of the school, driving is preferred. However, the school can also be accessed via train and bus routes. Essential requirements: Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one References covering the last 24 months Right to work in the UK Overseas police checks required for any overseas stays longer than 3 months within the past 5 years Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role Why work with Protocol Education?
