We are currently recruiting for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across several schools within the Cambridgeshire area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Whether you have previous experience in education, care, support work, or are looking to begin a rewarding career in schools, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Support students with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, SEMH, and other learning requirements.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
- Help pupils to develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other interventions.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
Essential Criteria
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- Driver ideal but not essential.
- Ability to provide satisfactory references covering recent employment history.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
