Do you have experience supporting hearing-impaired pupils and knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL)? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support hearing-impaired pupils within a friendly and inclusive school in the LS17 area.
The Role:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to hearing-impaired pupils
- Supporting access to learning across the curriculum
- Using British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Promoting independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting hearing-impaired pupils
- British Sign Language (BSL) knowledge and experience is essential
- Strong understanding of SEN support strategies
- Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
