SEN Teaching Assistants

We’re looking for brilliant SEN Teaching Assistants to support local schools in the Billingham area. The schools support children with a whole range of needs including SEMH, ADHD, Autism and BSL, and they’re looking for calm, caring people who can bring structure, patience and a bit of sunshine to each day.

Whether you want steady long-term work, flexible supply, or something short and sweet , we’ve got options that fit your week and your energy levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • Giving pupils tailored support that helps them feel safe and confident

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups , depending on the setting

  • Using creative strategies to help pupils stay engaged

  • Teaming up with SENCOs, teachers and therapists to give children the best experience possible

  • Bringing your calm, caring presence to some very busy classrooms

  • Who we’re looking for

    You might be:

  • An experienced SEN TA or teacher

  • A mainstream educator ready for something more hands-on

  • Someone with personal or professional experience of SEMH, ADHD or Autism

  • A patient communicator who knows how to build trust

  • BSL users are especially welcome
