This rewarding role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals. Whether you have previous school-based experience or transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, or childcare, we would love to hear from you. The Role As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include: Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support. Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and other additional learning needs. Assisting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Encouraging engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. Supporting the delivery of personalised learning activities. Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet pupils' individual needs. Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. What We're Looking For Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, support, youth work, or childcare setting. A caring, patient, and resilient approach. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. The ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual requirements. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Protocol Education.
