Are you an experienced HLTA looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? A specialist PRU in Ferryhill is seeking a confident and compassionate SEN HLTA to support pupils who require additional academic, behavioural and emotional support. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.

The Role

  • Deliver intervention programmes tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Lead learning activities across a range of subjects
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Build positive relationships that encourage engagement and progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

We're Looking For

  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience
  • Previous experience within alternative provision, PRU or SEND settings
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Resilient, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
