We are working with a welcoming SEN school in Grays that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Behaviour Support Worker to join their team from September. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play an important role in supporting pupils with their behaviour, emotional regulation, communication and engagement, helping them to manage challenges and access their education successfully. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will provide consistent support both in and outside of the classroom, encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop greater independence. The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, behavioural or emotional needs Be calm, patient and confident when managing challenging situations Have strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships Be consistent and confident in maintaining appropriate boundaries Be proactive and able to adapt their approach to meet individual needs Be passionate about helping young people develop confidence, resilience and independence This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive SEN school where you can make a genuine difference to pupils’ lives every day.
