A fantastic primary school in Ruislip is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs, including ASD and ADHD. This is a role for someone who genuinely understands how to support children who need structure, consistency and emotional regulation throughout their day. You must already have hands-on experience working with children in a school or specialist setting. This is not a trainee role — confidence, resilience and real classroom experience are essential.
Your Day-to-Day
- You’ll be supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them stay regulated, engaged and able to access learning.
- Some pupils present with challenging behaviour, so a calm, confident and emotionally intelligent approach is key.
- You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to maintain routines, boundaries and progress.
