A welcoming primary school in Teesside is searching for a brilliant Year 1 Teacher to guide pupils through that all-important reception-to-Year 1 leap. You’ll be their anchor as they adjust, grow, and start building confidence as ‘big kids’ in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Creating a classroom where learning is fun, structured, and full of encouragement
- Supporting children through the transition from Early Years to KS1
- Delivering lessons across the full KS1 curriculum—helping each child hit their milestones
- Marking meaningfully and tracking progress to celebrate growth (and spot when extra support’s needed)
- Keeping the lines of communication open—with parents, staff, and the wider team
