Protocol Education are working with a range of mainstream and SEN schools in the BS15 area and are looking for enthusiastic, passionate students and graduates to get involved. Whether you’re studying Psychology, Social Sciences, Education, Sports, or you simply have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people, we’d love to hear from you. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education, build confidence in the classroom and make a real difference to pupils who need it most. There are multiple roles available and you will work with a locally based consultant with links to all schools to find out the best fit for you.
Your role will include:
- Providing 1:1 emotional and wellbeing support for pupils
- Supporting children during moments of emotional overwhelm or challenge
- Encouraging positive routines, engagement and healthy coping strategies
- Working closely with class teachers and pastoral teams
- Helping pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn throughout the school day
What we’re looking for:
- A recent graduate or someone looking to take their first step into education
- An interest in child development, wellbeing, behaviour or pastoral support
- A patient, resilient and empathetic approach
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
- Confidence supporting children who need encouragement, reassurance or guidance
- A calm, consistent presence within the classroom and wider school environment
Pay & benefits:
- Daily rates (between £89-£94), paid weekly via PAYE
- £250 referral bonus when you recommend an ECT
- Less admin, fewer meetings and more time working directly with pupils

What we need to clear you:
- Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
- Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill
- CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
- Two years of references, including voluntary, childcare or youth work where relevant
- Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years
