Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, nurseries and Reception classes across local schools. You don’t need a formal Early Years qualification to apply. The Role
As a Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and Early Years staff to support children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities
- Working with children individually and in small groups
- Supporting learning through play-based activities
- Encouraging communication, language and social development
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Helping children develop independence and confidence
- Supporting indoor and outdoor learning
- Assisting with routines, lunchtime and general classroom duties
- Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children
- Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people
- Have a genuine passion for Early Years and child development
- Are caring, patient and enthusiastic
- Are confident interacting with young children
- Can build positive relationships quickly
- Are reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
- Are comfortable working as part of a wider school team
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding
- Do not necessarily hold a formal Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
Experience in a nursery, school, childcare, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or care setting would be beneficial.
