Start Date: ASAP

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Middlesbrough to recruit a Physics Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This role is suitable for QTS-qualified teachers, ECTs, and experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants with strong Physics subject knowledge.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Physics lessons, covering both theoretical concepts and practical investigations.
  • Provide effective classroom cover when required.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and a safe, positive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing problem-solving, analytical, and scientific thinking skills.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or has relevant classroom experience in Physics (teachers, cover supervisors, or TA cover).
  • Confident teaching Physics across KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
