The Role

As a Science Technician, you will:

  • Prepare and set up practical experiments for Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons
  • Maintain laboratories, equipment and specialist resources
  • Ensure chemicals and equipment are stored safely in line with health and safety regulations
  • Support teachers during practical lessons where required
  • Order, organise and monitor stock and laboratory resources
  • Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning and calibration of equipment
  • Promote a safe, organised and engaging practical learning environment

You’ll play a vital role in helping students experience exciting, hands‑on science lessons while supporting a successful Science department.

We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or
  • A degree or qualification in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or another Science-related subject
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Someone who is proactive, reliable and passionate about supporting young people's learning
