We're working with a welcoming primary school in Wallsend that's looking for an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team this September. You'll be helping young learners build confidence in reading, writing and communication, while gaining invaluable classroom experience along the way.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 with reading, phonics and early writing
- Working one-to-one and with small groups to boost confidence and progress
- Helping create engaging, creative learning experiences
- Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and organisation
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in English or a related subject
- Has a genuine passion for education and helping children thrive
- Communicates confidently and builds positive relationships easily
- Is patient, proactive and eager to learn
- Has experience working with children, whether through volunteering, tutoring, coaching or placements, although this isn't essential
