The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups
  • Assisting children with varying learning needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children
  • Are positive, patient and proactive
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Can adapt confidently to different school environments
  • Previous experience working within a school is desirable but not essential
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one through Protocol Education
