We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs under the guidance of teaching staff and the SENCO. The role involves enabling access to learning, supporting the management of students and classrooms, and contributing to students' academic, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical, communication, and learning support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assist in classroom and withdrawal-based interventions to remove barriers to learning.
  • Support students' emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
  • Help plan, organise, and deliver learning activities, adapting materials as needed.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to target setting and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Ensure safe use of specialist equipment and support physical welfare where required.
  • Maintain accurate records, attend staff meetings, and undertake relevant professional development.
