We're working with a well-established primary school in Uxbridge with a dedicated Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), looking for an experienced SEND Educator to join their team on a long-term basis.
What you'll be working with:
- Pupils with Autism (ASD), complex needs and communication difficulties
- A structured SRP environment with clear routines and expectations
- A mix of 1:1 and small group support
- Pupils working below age-related expectations, requiring adapted learning
- Strong, experienced SEN team who understand behaviour and regulation
- Clear systems in place - not reactive or inconsistent
- Specialist resources and strategies already embedded (visuals, timetables, sensory support)
- SLT who are visible and actively support the SRP
- A calm, purposeful environment where staff are supported
Supporting learning through structured, adapted activities:
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour using consistent strategies
- Following and contributing to EHCP targets and progress tracking
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a SEND school or SRP is essential
- Strong understanding of Autism, behaviour and communication needs
- Calm, consistent and resilient approach
- Someone who knows how to support without escalating situations
- Reliable and committed - this role needs consistency
