If you've worked in a SEND school or SRP before, you'll know not every setting gets it right. This one does. We're working with a well-established primary school in Uxbridge with a dedicated Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), looking for an experienced SEND Educator to join their team on a long-term basis.

What you'll be working with:

  • Pupils with Autism (ASD), complex needs and communication difficulties
  • A structured SRP environment with clear routines and expectations
  • A mix of 1:1 and small group support
  • Pupils working below age-related expectations, requiring adapted learning

What makes this setting different:

  • Strong, experienced SEN team who understand behaviour and regulation
  • Clear systems in place - not reactive or inconsistent
  • Specialist resources and strategies already embedded (visuals, timetables, sensory support)
  • SLT who are visible and actively support the SRP
  • A calm, purposeful environment where staff are supported

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting learning through structured, adapted activities
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour using consistent strategies
  • Following and contributing to EHCP targets and progress tracking
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a SEND school or SRP is essential
  • Strong understanding of Autism, behaviour and communication needs
  • Calm, consistent and resilient approach
  • Someone who knows how to support without escalating situations
  • Reliable and committed - this role needs consistency

What you'll get:

  • £95-£110 per day (PAYE, no umbrella)
  • Long-term role with potential to go permanent
  • Opportunity to trial the setting before committing
  • A team that understands SEND and will support you properly

The reality: This is a hands-on role in a specialist setting. It requires patience, consistency and experience - but in the right environment, it's incredibly rewarding.

Next steps: Trial days and interviews are happening now, and the school is ready to move quickly for the right person. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
