We’re working with a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Hackney who are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a team that truly understands the value of tailored support and the impact it has on every child’s journey.
You’ll be right at the heart of the classroom, offering consistent, nurturing support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to engage with learning in their own way.
- Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and support plans
- Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their confidence and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
