Be the calm in someone’s storm. We’re looking for a patient, understanding, and genuinely brilliant individual to support a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a primary school in Southwark. It’s a full-time role where your presence will make all the difference.
What the role looks like:
- 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil managing SEMH challenges
- Building trust, routine, and emotional resilience throughout the school day
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Helping the pupil access learning in a way that feels safe and achievable
- Using de-escalation, praise, and empathy (your superhero toolkit)
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with SEMH, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour support (school-based or other settings)
- A calm, nurturing approach with strong boundaries
- Confidence to lead and support in tricky moments
- Team player energy – someone who communicates well and mucks in when needed
Bonus points if you:
