What you’ll be doing:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Developing and implementing an engaging, inclusive music curriculum
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress and attainment
- Providing constructive feedback to support students in achieving their musical potential
- Organising and leading concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the wider educational experience
- Contributing to school events and activities that promote the Music department
You’ll need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Music or a related subject
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of the secondary music curriculum and best practice
- Proficiency in teaching and playing a range of musical instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
