Learning Support Assistant – SEN School – Upminster

We are working with a fantastic SEN school in Upminster that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

The school has a strong focus on developing pupils' functional communication skills and emotional regulation, ensuring every child is ready to learn and achieve their full potential.

Staff work closely with pupils to meet their individual sensory integration needs, using a wide range of evidence‑based strategies to support learning, wellbeing, and independence.

Responsibilities

Work within a collaborative and nurturing environment, providing a holistic approach to each pupil's development alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff.

Qualifications

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Have a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
