Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of welcoming secondary schools across Hammersmith & Fulham.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING AS A COVER SUPERVISOR IN A UK SECONDARY SCHOOL OR HAVE SIGNIFICANT CLASSROOM-BASED EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING SECONDARY-AGED STUDENTS. APPLICATIONS WITHOUT RELEVANT EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

The Role
- Supervise classes of students aged 11–16 and 11–18 during the short-term absence of their teacher.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
- Support students in completing set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a UK secondary school or substantial classroom experience with secondary-aged students (essential).
- Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Be adaptable, organised, and professional.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
