We are working in partnership with a well-established SEND school in Hackney that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism and communication needs. The school is known for its calm, structured environment and strong emphasis on teamwork, consistency, and pupil wellbeing.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access learning, develop independence, and feel safe and understood throughout the school day. The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
  • Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, in education, care, or support settings
  • Is patient, reliable, and confident supporting additional needs
  • Works well as part of a team and follows structured routines
  • Is available for a full-time, long-term role
