Some classrooms need more than great lesson plans. They need patience, creativity, calm heads, and someone who really gets SEND. We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher who knows that progress doesn’t always look the same for every child, and that’s exactly what makes the job so special. You’ll be working with pupils who benefit from structure, consistency, and a teacher who celebrates the small wins just as much as the big ones. Whether your experience is in ASD, SEMH, PMLD, or a mix of needs, we want to hear from you.

What your days might include:

  • Creating lessons that adapt to pupils, not the other way round
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children who need it most
  • Working closely with TAs, SENCOs, and wider support teams
  • Turning tricky moments into teachable ones

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status, or relevant SEND teaching experience
  • A calm, compassionate approach, even on the tougher days
  • Confidence adapting teaching styles to suit individual needs
  • Someone who believes every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported

What you’ll get with Protocol Education:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella faff
  • Free access to our CPD Academy
  • A dedicated consultant who actually listens
  • Opportunities across SEND, specialist, and alternative settings

Bonus question, are you Thrive trained? If not, we offer free Thrive training, which schools love and pupils benefit from every single day. If you’re ready for a role that’s challenging, rewarding, and genuinely meaningful, let’s have a chat. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
