The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, creative and inspirational Music Teacher to join a supportive school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can inspire pupils through performance, composition, listening and practical music-making, while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across the relevant key stages.
  • Develop pupils' skills in performance, composition, musical theory and listening.
  • Inspire creativity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation of music.
  • Use assessment effectively to support pupil progress.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement and professional conduct.
  • Contribute to concerts, ensembles, productions and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.

  • QTS or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for Music.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills.
  • High expectations of every pupil.
