The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate, creative and inspirational Music Teacher to join a supportive school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can inspire pupils through performance, composition, listening and practical music-making, while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour. ECTs are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across the relevant key stages.
- Develop pupils' skills in performance, composition, musical theory and listening.
- Inspire creativity, confidence and a lifelong appreciation of music.
- Use assessment effectively to support pupil progress.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement and professional conduct.
- Contribute to concerts, ensembles, productions and extracurricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.
We’re Looking For
- QTS or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for Music.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills.
