The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
- Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Providing additional support to pupils with SEND and other learning needs.
- Helping pupils develop communication, confidence and independence.
- Building positive, professional relationships with pupils.
- Supporting pupils to achieve their learning and development goals.
- Working closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment.
- Encouraging inclusion and ensuring pupils feel supported and valued.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
- Following safeguarding and child-protection procedures.
- Supporting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience supporting children and young people with SEND.

- Social, emotional and mental health needs
- Complex or additional needs
would be valuable.
Relevant experience is desirable for specialist roles, although candidates with strong transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.
