We’re working with some lovely primary settings in Brentwood that’s on the lookout for a SEND Learning Support Mentor to join full-time. This is the kind of school where every small win matters, from a first smile to a full lesson breakthrough, and you’ll be right there for all of it.

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD, helping them take part in learning, build confidence, and feel settled and understood throughout the day. No two days are the same, but that’s exactly what makes it special.

What your day might look like:

  • Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups during lessons
  • Helping pupils stay engaged, calm, and ready to learn
  • Building strong, trusting relationships, you’ll quickly become a familiar, friendly face
  • Supporting with personal care where needed, always with dignity and respect
  • Working closely with a team who genuinely have each other’s backs

  • You might already have SEND experience, or maybe you’ve worked in care, support work, or with young people in another setting. What matters most here is you.
  • Patient, kind, and naturally nurturing

  • Training like Manual Handling, Hoist Training or First Aid is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Long-term role with the chance to go permanent
  • Based in Brentwood
