We are working with a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary school in Redbridge that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their dedicated team on a supply basis. The school offers a supportive environment, strong departmental collaboration, and excellent resources to help you deliver high-quality teaching and achieve strong outcomes for students.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading Computer Science teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering the KS3 Computer Science curriculum for Years 7–9
- Teaching GCSE Computer Science (OCR) for Year 10
- Delivering Cambridge Nationals in IT (OCR) for Years 10–11
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons with clear learning objectives
- Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
- Working collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
You’ll need:
- Strong knowledge of Python programming, including practical project work
- Experience using augmented reality tools, especially platforms like Assemblr
- Confident delivery of OCR content at both GCSE and Cambridge Nationals level
- An engaging and approachable teaching style that keeps students motivated
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
